Veteran Nigerian record producer, Solomon Oyeniyi, popularly known as K-Solo, has alleged that rapper and Marlian Records boss Naira Marley played a role in the death of his former signee, Mohbad.
The controversial death of 27-year-old singer Mohbad occurred on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in circumstances that have raised suspicions and controversies.
Speaking on Channels TV’s program, Rubbin’ Minds, K-Solo boldly claimed that Naira Marley was connected to Mohbad’s demise.
K-Solo raised questions about the treatment Mohbad received while under Naira Marley’s record label, alleging that the rapper failed to protect his signee from bullying and harassment.
News About Nigeria reports that K-Solo further challenged Naira Marley to return to Nigeria and face the situation head-on, rather than issuing statements from abroad.
“Naira Marley is involved [in Mohbad’s death]. He cannot tell me he is not involved. He has a hand in his death.
“Somebody can’t be under your label and he is being bullied every day and you never came out to say anything. And you said you don’t know anything about it.
“You’re putting up a statement? Everybody can put up a statement. Naira Marley has an involvement in. He can’t tell me no.
“If I were Naira Marley, he should turn up himself. Come into this country, come and defend yourself. Put yourself out.”
K-solo went on to say that video evidence has indicted Sam Larry and he can afford to be on the run forever.
However, he mentioned that Naira Marley has to come down to Nigeria to absolve himself.
“Samlarry does not have anything to say. That one can be on the run forever because you can see his own evidence over your face. There are pictures. He cannot say that they are doctored.
“Let him come out and wash himself clean and say, ‘I, Naira Marley, I’m not involved in this.’ Then let the police do their due diligence like the English they used.”
