Reno Omokri Queries Why Obi Tendered Only WAEC Result To INEC

Ex-presidential aide, Reno Omokri, on Monday, questioned why Peter Obi of the Labour Party tendered only his West African Examination Council, WAEC, results to the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC instead of his certificate from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

Omokri said this in a tweet on his official X account where he slammed Arise Television for not sending any of their reporters to find out why Obi didn’t submit the supposed certificate he got from UNN to INEC but could lie about that of President Bola Tinubu.

According to him, the Television station lied to Nigerians that Chicago State University (CSU) was subpoenaed by a Nigerian lawyer, Mike Enahoro-Ebah who claimed that the University denied that Bola Tinubu was ever admitted, never attended and never graduated from their institution.

His post reads: “Peter Obi claimed to have attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, yet he only tendered his WAEC to the Independent National Electoral Commission. AriseTV could not send a reporter to UNN to find out why.

“But they could lie that Chicago State University was subpoenaed by Mike Enahoro-Ebah, and based on that subpoena, Chicago State University denied that Bola Tinubu was admitted, attended and graduated from their institution.”

News About Nigeria reports that Reno Omokri also claimed that he went to Chicago State University and got confirmation from them that Tinubu graduated from the school.

He, therefore, challenged the television station to prove that CSU denied Bola Tinubu and he would in turn give them $100,000 for proving him wrong.

“I went to Chicago State University. @AriseTV did not. Chicago State University confirmed to me that Bola Tinubu attended and graduated from their institution. Let the Fake News Network publish Chicago State University’s response denying Bola Tinubu, and I will pay them $100,000.”
