Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, known for her criticism of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has made an unusual pledge to support the ruling party if they can help secure justice for the late singer Mohbad.
News About Nigeria reports that the death of the 27-year-old singer, Mohbad occurred on Tuesday under controversial circumstances, leading to grief and speculation surrounding the incident.
In response, the Nigeria Police Force issued a statement on Thursday, assuring the public that they would investigate the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise.
Expressing her grief and concern over the situation, Iyabo Ojo took to her Instagram page on Saturday to share her thoughts.
She mentioned that everything she had read about Mohbad’s situation had moved her to tears. She also pointed out how the late singer had cried out for help, but it seemed that no one had listened to him.
The actress called for justice and emphasised that Mohbad’s death should be everyone’s concern.
She went on to state that she would believe in and support the All Progressives Congress (APC) if they could help secure justice for Mohbad.
“Honestly, I will believe and support APC if Mohbad can get justice. That boy’s soul is crying for justice.
“Autopsy needed. Investigation is seriously needed. Every day I read something about him, I shed tears. No, he cried out, and no one listened to him.
“How? Nooooo, it’s not my business should be cancelled at this moment, it’s everybody’s business.
“His soul needs to rest. #justiceformohbad,” she wrote.
