The Senator representing Abia North, Orji Kalu on Friday said that the murder of Labour Party’s Chieftain, Maduka Zachary was callous and unacceptable.
He said this in a statement where he expressed sadness over the painful death of Maduka who was a member of his constituency and the home branch Chairman of Uturu Union.
Kalu also sympathized with the deceased family, pledging his support to partner with Governor Alex Otti to ensure the security of lives and properties in his Senatorial Zone/district.
According to the Senator, Maduka did not deserve such an inhumane act from his killers who without empathy beheaded him, throwing his family into mourning and pain.
He, therefore, charged security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the crime and ensure they face the law for such evil acts.
Recall that, Maduka who is popularly known as Power Zac, was beheaded by unknown gunmen on Thursday in his home at Uturu in Isikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State.
News About Nigeria gathered that the deceased was the Campaign Director of the LP in the 2023 elections at Uturu.
The late Maduka was also the Campaign Director of the member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Mr Amobi Ogah.
The deceased was also a grassroots politician who was vocal against insecurity in the community and was also the head of the Uturu community security outfit in the area.
