Nigerian music producer and blogger, Samklef, has weighed in on the controversy surrounding the death of singer Mohbad and clarified that Naira Marley, the artist’s former label boss, is not involved in the incident, News About Nigeria reports.
Mohbad had faced issues related to his record label, which ultimately led to his departure from Naira Marley’s record label.
Last year, he had expressed concerns regarding his life and even suggested that Naira Marley should be held responsible if anything happened to him.
Following Mohbad’s untimely death, accusations were levelled against Naira Marley on social media, with some suggesting his involvement in the singer’s passing.
Taking to his Instagram page, Samklef shared his insights into the situation.
He emphasised that the full truth about the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death will soon come to light and that the situation is more complex than it initially appears.
Samklef clarified several crucial aspects of the singer’s death.
He stated that Naira Marley was not implicated in the situation and dismissed claims of drugs being a contributing factor.
He also refuted any suggestion that Mohbad’s death was a result of suicide.
Furthermore, Samklef expressed his commitment to uncovering the truth behind Mohbad’s untimely demise.
He used the incident to highlight an important lesson, advising public figures to publicly reconcile if they have a falling out with someone to prevent unwarranted judgments.
“The full truth about his death will emerge soon, and it’s more complex than it appears. Naira Marley was not implicated, drugs were not a factor, and it wasn’t a suicide. I’m committed to uncovering the truth.
