A Nigerian man, Tonye Solomon, has set Guinness World Records after he climbed 150 steps to the top of a towering 250-foot radio mast while balancing a football on his head, News About Nigeria gathered.
This remarkable height was announced with a video on the Guinness World Records official X account on Wednesday.
After Tonye Solomon walked 60 km (37 mi) with a football on his head from Amassoma to Yenagoa in Bayelsa State, many of his compatriots doubted the authenticity of his story.
To prove them wrong, Tonye decided to set a new Guinness World Record for the most steps climbed on a ladder while balancing a football on the head.
Tonye’s achievement took place last month, before a sizable crowd, including Fish Jombo, a radio presenter who was amazed at the record attempt.
After conquering the challenging climb, the footage shared by Guinness World Records showed Tonye throwing the football down while celebrating with a fist pump.

He also mentioned that he aimed to inspire others to achieve greatness through his actions.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Civil Defense Bayelsa State Command played a part in Tonye’s record attempt by allowing him to use their facility for the challenge.
