Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) All Stars housemate Mercy Eke has found herself in hot water as she’s been issued her first official strike for repeatedly breaking house rules regarding microphone usage, News About Nigeria gathered.
Despite prior warnings and penalties, her failure to stick to these rules now places her at risk of disqualification from the house if she gets two more strikes.
This move from Big Brother follows the previous punishment he gave housemates Pere and Neoenergy for engaging in whispered conversations, which was meant to serve as a warning to all contestants about the importance of compliance with microphone rules.
On Thursday evening, Big Brother cited Article 16, Sub-article 3 of the house rule book, pointing out the guidelines governing microphone usage for all contestants.
The rule is clear in stating that consistent or intentional violations could result in severe consequences, such as strikes or disqualification from the house.
It is worth mentioning that several other housemates have also faced strikes for various offences. Ilebaye received two strikes for engaging in physical violence by laying her hands on Ceec and Doyin.
Ceec earned one strike for provocative behaviour, while evicted housemate Ike received one strike for bullying.
Soma was also given one strike for harassing Angel and making an offensive gesture at the camera.
