Sancho Fires Back At Ten Hag Over Comments On Arsenal Clash Exclusion

Manchester United winger, Jadon Sancho, has found himself embroiled in a public exchange of words with his manager, Erik ten Hag, News About Nigeria gathered.

Sancho was absent as Manchester United fell to a 3-1 defeat at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, and his manager attributed the exclusion to “performances in training.”

However, Sancho swiftly responded to the manager’s explanation with a post online, stating, “I will not allow people saying things that are completely untrue.

“I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into. I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time, which isn’t fair!

“All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team. I respect all decisions made by the coaching staff, and I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what,” he continued.

The 23-year-old winger who arrived at Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for a significant transfer fee of £73 million, has had a somewhat mixed spell in Manchester, accumulating 12 goals in 82 games.

This season, Sancho faces competition for a spot on the wing from players like Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho.

He has made appearances in all three of Manchester United’s opening Premier League matches but has been predominantly used as a substitute. However, eyebrows were raised when he was entirely left out of the squad for the Arsenal clash.

Ten Hag offered his perspective on the matter, stating, “We did not select Jadon because of his performances in training. You have to reach a certain level every day at Manchester United, and we can make choices in the front line. So, for this game, he was not selected.”

The public exchange between player and manager has stirred interest, with Piers Morgan, a well-known Arsenal fan and TV personality, extending an invitation to Sancho to appear on his TalkTV show to share his side of the story.

Morgan tweeted, “Hi Jadon, come on @PiersUncensored, and I’ll get you out of this Ten Hag nightmare.”
