Nigerian rapper Cynthia Morgan has voiced her strong agreement with the biblical teaching that sexual activity should be reserved exclusively for married couples, News About Nigeria reports.
In a statement shared on her Instastory, she highlighted her belief that, among all the teachings in the Bible, the one she resonates with the most is the principle that sex should only occur within the sanctity of marriage.
While acknowledging that individuals may deviate from this ideal for various reasons, including a lack of awareness or other factors, Morgan firmly holds that the original intent behind sex was for it to be a sacred union within the confines of marriage.
In her post, the rapper expressed her perspective, saying, “If there’s one thing I agree the most with in the Bible, it will be that sex should only be for married people.
“I know… We all sin and fall short of his glory either out of ignorance or even i2no… but sincerely sex is/was designed for married people. Thank you,” she added respectfully.
Cynthia Morgan’s statement contributes to the ongoing trend around the intersection of faith, morality and personal choices in contemporary society.
Morgan’s expression comes as a surprise to her fans who know her as one of the country’s talented female rappers who unquestionably, are exposed to different lifestyles.
Her belief although resonates with many, have also met oppositions from even a wider range of audience who think otherwise, insisting there is nothing wrong in premarital sex.
Meanwhile, the issue undoubtedly, remains one of faith and morality and most likely would make more sense to many who hold similar opinion.
