The Convener of the EndSARS movement and prominent Nigerian lawyer, Segun Awosanya popularly known as Segalink has expressed confidence that the Nigerian judiciary will give a fair judgment at the ongoing presidential election petition tribunal.
Mr. Awosanya stated that the judges in Nigeria are not intimidated by cyberbullying and other social media threats, expressing confidence against baseless claims made against the judiciary on social media.
The attorney claimed that the judge’s decision will be based on the evidence and not be influenced by the noise.
“It just shows the level of illiteracy in the country. The judges are not intimidated by the cyberbullying, threats, and incitement of the ideologues. Their rulings will not be impacted by the noise out there but based on the preponderance of evidence and balance of probability in the cases/arguments before them. Anything else is just a demonstration of insanity,” a tweet by Mr Awosanya read.
