Nate Diaz has taunted UFC champion Conor McGregor to consider a bout with Jake Paul after their fight together, News About Nigeria reports.

Diaz believes his old UFC rival McGregor “fits the criteria” to face the former YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul and should consider stepping into the ring once he leaves the octagon.

Jake Paul has been targeting a fight with Conor McGregor for quite some time, but the Irishman has largely ignored the social media influencer’s call-outs.

However, with Diaz set to face Paul in the fighting ring, he sees an opportunity for McGregor to prove himself against the YouTube sensation.

“If he was free, I’m sure he would fight him. Why would you not? He’s talking a lot of s***. There are criteria, and that motherf***er meets it,” Diaz expressed during Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk podcast.

While Conor McGregor is expected to make his UFC return against Michael Chandler at the end of the year, the fight is yet to be officially confirmed.

McGregor needs to re-enter the USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) testing pool and undergo six months of mandatory drug testing before stepping back into the octagon.

On the other hand, Jake Paul has been relentless in his pursuit of high-profile opponents and has expressed his desire to face McGregor after his bout with Diaz.

During a rant on his brother Logan’s Impulsive podcast, Paul confidently declared his intent to defeat Diaz and issued a challenge to McGregor.

“I’ll beat the f****ng f*** out of you. You can’t box as good as me, and I’m going to do to Nate what you couldn’t, and that’s knock him the f*** out,” said Paul.

In his push for the potential fight, Paul made it clear that he’s willing to work with UFC president Dana White to make it happen.
