Tunisian Clubs Lead African Representation at Qatar 2022 World Cup, Earn Top Share of FIFA Club Benefit Program

According to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the FIFA Club Benefits Programme shows how the FIFA World Cup has a positive impact on club football across the world.
Tunisian clubs represented by Esperance, Club Africain, and Etoile du Sahel at the World Cup will now share $1,494,734 out of the $4,569,981 allocated to African clubs.
Moroccan clubs are set to also receive $1,437,244, while Egypt, despite not participating in the World Cup, will be granted $650,000 due to their players from Tunisia who competed.
Ghanaian clubs will benefit from $565,772, and Cameroonian teams will receive $401,515. Al Ahly and Zamalek of Egypt will obtain $420,679 and $229,959 respectively.
Cameroon’s Coton Sport, Colon Sportive, and Apejes de Mfou will be granted $219,008, $109,504, and $73,002 respectively, while Senegal’s Generation Foot is due to receive $20,075.
Tunisian clubs such as Esperance, Club Africain, Etoile, CS Sfaxien, and US Monastir will be rewarded with $525,620, $312,087, $262,810, $197,107, and $197,107 respectively.
Ghana’s Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Steadfast FC, Dream FC, and King Faisal will be allocated $219,008, $200,757, $109,504, $18,250, and $18,250 respectively.
Wydad Casablanca and Raja Club Athletic from Morocco can expect $1,405,305 and $31,938 respectively.
In total, 440 clubs from 51 member associations across all confederations will share over $200 million in benefits distributed to clubs whose players featured in the World Cup.
FIFA stated that the program is part of a collaboration agreement with the European Club Association, aiming to support clubs.
Following the release of 837 footballers, FIFA will distribute $209 million, with a rounded per-player daily amount of $10,950, regardless of their playing time.
