The Nigerian Police have made a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the attack on Apostle Johnson Suleman, the senior pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide.
News About Nigeria reports that the Police have arrested a 32-year-old man, identified as Yusuf Isah, in connection with the attack that occurred in October 2022 along the Benin-Auchi Road in Edo State.
During the attack, gunmen ambushed Apostle Suleman’s convoy, resulting in the tragic deaths of six individuals, including three policemen.
The incident sent shockwaves through the country, sparking a nationwide manhunt for the perpetrators.
According to the Force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, the arrest of Yusuf Isah was made by operatives of the Intelligence Rapid Team following an intensive investigation.
The Police were able to recover five AK 47 rifles, two K2 assault rifles, and 180 live ammunition from the suspect.
He said, “Following an intensive investigation into the fatal attack on the convoy of Apostle Johnson Suleman, the senior pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Auchi, on October 21, 2022, along with Benin police personnel, who were gruesomely murdered, the operatives of FIB-IRT on Auchi road comprising six people, including three of the assailants, apprehended one Yusuf Ismael Isah ‘m’, a native of Okene, Kogi State and a plumber, at Agbaraoluwa Phase 2 Ijoka, Akure, Ondo State and recovered five Ak47 Rifles, two K2 Assault rifles, 180 live ammunition and 4 suspected IEDs were found in his apartment.”
Apostle Johnson Suleman is a Nigerian man of God who is know for quite a number of controversies that made waves on social media, but he had managed to keep calm doing what he knows how to do best, dishing out sermons to his congregations.
