Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has stirred up reactions among his teammates with his impressive physique as the team regroups for pre-season training, News About Nigeria understands.
Henderson’s well-toned body left Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah in awe, with their shocked reactions evident.
The 33-year-old has achieved remarkable shape after engaging in an intense boxing session during his break, channeling his inner Anthony Joshua.
On Tuesday, when the Liverpool squad convened for their first day of pre-season training at Kirkby, Robertson and Salah were astonished by Henderson’s newfound muscular physique.
In a video shared by the Reds on Twitter, Salah could be heard asking Robertson, “Did you see this? My god! Look at this!” unable to contain his amazement.
He added, “Wow! What a body! That’s all thanks to boxing!”
Meanwhile, Robertson continued to observe Henderson without his shirt on, while a Liverpool staff member checked on the player during what appeared to be a medical fitness test.
Despite the speculation surrounding his future at Liverpool, particularly with the recent arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, Henderson, who still has two years remaining on his contract, remained modest.
Reports have circulated suggesting that Henderson might consider reuniting with former club legend Steven Gerrard at his new club in Saudi Arabia. Gerrard currently manages Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq and is eager to recruit the England midfielder, who would also receive a lucrative salary.
However, this move could potentially result in Henderson missing out on Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad next summer.
