In the wake of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose’s startling admission of engaging in anti-party activities, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has decided to tackle the issue head-on.
Timothy Osadolor, a member of the PDP’s National Executive Committee (NEC), revealed that the party’s leadership is preparing to address Fayose’s actions.
News about Nigeria reports that Fayose boldly stated, “I worked against him (Atiku) hundred per cent.”
He went on to emphasize that no political party, including the PDP and even Asiwaju Bola Tinubu himself, is greater than Nigeria. “I am not a man that will hide my action. I never worked for the PDP during the last election.
I am not a liar or a pretender. I did not work for the PDP,” he asserted.
Expressing his disappointment, Timothy Osadolor referred to Fayose as shameless. The PDP’s Deputy National Youth Leader, in an interview with The Punch, stated,
“The confirmation by former Governor Fayose that he engaged in anti-party activities without shame or remorse is only meant to convince those who were unaware.
For those of us who know better, witnessing Governor Fayose confessing his acts of indiscipline, sabotage, and anti-party behaviour did not come as a surprise.
If he had any moral compass, he would choose the honourable path of resignation after this confession.”
Assuring that the PDP will address Fayose’s actions, Osadolor added, “Will the PDP be able to address him? Yes, the party will be speaking soon.”
