Moises Caicedo has broken his silence about Chelsea’s interest in him, News About Nigeria confirms.
The 22-year-old is the Blue’s priority at the moment, following a porous midfield that has seen the likes of N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus Cheek leave since the opening of the transfer market.
Chelsea has been in talks with Brighton & Hove Albion over the player but might break a neck to get him to join the West London side.
Brighton has remained insistence on a £100million payday for the Ecuador international but Chelsea are willing to offer less.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview, the midfielder admitted he’s delighted to be linked with the Premier League giants.
The Seagulls player said that it is a great emotion for him but is in full control of his feelings as there are several issues that need to be addressed before he can get excited.
He maintained that his priority at the moment is spending quality time with his family while hoping on God for what is best for him.
“It’s a very great emotion. What guy wouldn’t want them to be talking about him?
“I know how to handle it. I don’t get carried away by emotions. I’m enjoying time with my family for now.
“There is pressure, but I am calm. I am waiting for whatever God decides. He will know what is best for me.”
Chelsea have so far parted ways with about 10 of their players and are in search of perfect replacements, notably in their forward.
So far, they have gotten the signature of Samuel Jackson from Villarreal, while Christopher Nkunku joined from RB Leipzig after being signed last season.
