Woodberry, Ally Of Scammer Hushpuppi, Faces 14-Year Jail Term For $8 Million Fraud

Woodberry, an associate of the infamous scammer Hushpuppi, is reportedly facing a potential 14-year prison sentence over his involvement in an $8 million fraud scheme.

According to sources, US Federal prosecutors presented their case to the judge on Thursday, urging a 14-year jail term for Woodberry for defrauding multiple US companies. News About Nigeria reports.

Both Hushpuppi and Woodberry had earlier pleaded guilty to one count out of the eight charges brought against them in a US court.

Following his guilty plea, Woodberry agreed to surrender $8 million in proceeds from wire fraud, along with luxury cars and watches, to the authorities.

The case against Woodberry and Hushpuppi gained international attention due to their extravagant lifestyles and alleged involvement in sophisticated online scams.

The duo was known for flaunting their ill-gotten wealth on social media, showcasing expensive cars, designer clothing, and luxury vacations.
