Bayern Munich have offered Tottenham a £60million pay cheque for their top striker Harry Kane, News About Nigeria reports.

The German Champions are the first to make an official bid for the 29-year-old England captain who has one more year left in his contract with Spurs.

The English side reportedly want to keep Kane till the end of his contract and possibly, have him sign a new deal, to keep the pace of their forward.

He remains the only top striker at the club and his departure could be a major blow for the London club which has gone 15 years without any competitive title.

However, the German giants have identified Kane as their number one target this summer and are willing to offer an enticing figure to Tottenham for his release.

Recall Manchester United has also been heavily linked with a move for the player who is Tottenham’s all-time highest goal scorer with 280 goals in 435 match appearances. He is only closely followed by Jimmy Greaves with 220 goals.

However, his goals have not been enough to earn titles for the North London side since he joined on August 15, 2011.

Meanwhile, Kane has been encouraged by many, including football legends to trade his skills elsewhere outside the Premier League whilst he still has the time and teams coming for him.

But it remains to be seen if Kane will push for a transfer after a disappointing season for Spurs, who finished eighth in the Premier League and missed out on European football.
