Ronnie, Four-year-old Phil Foden’s son has racked up one million followers on Instagram within 24 hours of going live, News About Nigeria reports.
The growing social media influencer was among the highlights of Manchester City’s Champions League title victory, after posing to the camera with his Dad and the glorious cup.
He has since then been nicknamed ‘El Wey’ otherwise called ‘The Dude’ in English by fans, following their photo which went viral on the internet at the time.
Ronnie’s account clocked one million followers after a post made by his parents and reads “El wey has arrived.” The post was also accompanied by a goat emoji, signifying ‘Greatest Of All Time’.
The post also received reactions from Foden’s fellow teammates Nathan Ake, Ederson, and Rico Lewis.
Ronnie is living the dreams of many children and could grow to become one of the most celebrated footballer’s kids, that is if he doesn’t follow in the footstep of his father as a player.
The toddler has a younger sister who is now two years old
It is believed that Foden has found a new responsibility as his son’s social media handler, coupled with his job on the pitch.
The 23-year-old has two children with his girlfriend Rebecca Cooke. Their first child, Ronnie, was born in January 2019 while the second child, a daughter, was born in the summer of 2021. Foden became a parent at the age of 18.
He is the youngest English footballer to have won five English Premier League titles at age 23.
