Deontay Wilder has submitted an offer to Andy Ruiz for a bout before his highly anticipated fight against Anthony Joshua in December, News About Nigeria reports.

Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott revealed this in a video he made with ‘The Bronze Bomber’ on Friday, calling on the unified world champion Ruiz, to sign the contract.

The video uploaded by Scott captioned ‘TIMES UP’, apparently a cue from what he was putting on, explained that a formal offer has been made to Ruiz for a fight

“TIMES UP: We doing our part and we sent you a helluva offer. Ah, Andy Ruiz. The ball is in your court now, let’s get it signed and sealed. #signthef***ingcontract #Timesup,” Scott wrote.

Wilder’s attempt to shore up his next opponent came on the same day Joshua revived talks for an eagerly anticipated rematch with his long-time rival Dillian Whyte.

Whyte ‘The Body Snatcher’, as he is popularly called, had earlier claimed that contrary to the much-held discussions about him backing out of AJ’s fight offer, he hadn’t heard from AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn in over a month.

He queried whether he was willing to accept their original offer while denying reports that he priced himself out of the fight by demanding an £8m payout.

Reacting to Whyte’s claims, Hearn said he sent an offer to the fighter over a month ago but returned rejected.

“We made an offer to Dillian Whyte four or five weeks ago and they came back and the exact wording was ‘absolutely not, this is unacceptably low’ and basically nowhere near a number that they’d accept,” he told Boxing Social.

“I funneled that back to AJ and the team and we said, ‘Okay, we’ll move on to another opponent’. That was it.

Hearn however said that another offer will be made and submitted to Whyte and his team as it is the fight Anthony Joshua wants for August 12, before his December duel.

“They’ll have a contract today. We need to move at pace but if they’re serious that fight can 100 percent happen.

“It’s still the fight that AJ wants for August 12th so again, if Dillian is serious, that fight is going to happen.”
