Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has signed a deal worth £30m with Manchester City, News About Nigeria understands.
Details from transfer market expert – Fabrizio Romano reveals that the player agreed personal terms with Manchester City two weeks ago and has now concluded details of the contract to play for the European champions next season.

In an earlier post by Romano, he disclosed that City will pay a guaranteed fee of £25m to Chelsea, while £5m will be included in add-ons only when the club wins titles, instead of player’s performances.
“More exclusive details on Kovacić deal. Understand Manchester City will pay a guaranteed fee of £25m to Chelsea.
“£5m will be also included in add-ons to be activated only if/when Man City will win titles — not player performances.
“Pep has his new midfielder. Here we go,” he added.
Chelsea has so far, at the verge of releasing at least five of their players, as confirmed by Romano on Wednesday.
Among the players listed are N’Golo Kante (confirmed), Hakim Ziyech, Édouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly and now, Mateo Kovacic.
Four out of these five Chelsea players have signed for different Saudi Arabia Pro League clubs, with Kovacic settling for Chelsea’s English rivals Man City.
