In an unexpected turn of events, YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul has volunteered to assist in organizing a charity fight between tech giants Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, News About Nigeria reports.
This development comes after Musk and Zuckerberg engaged in a lighthearted challenge on social media regarding their interest in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). News About Nigeria reports on the exciting saga that unfolded on Tuesday, June 10.
Musk who purchased Twitter in 2022 for $44 billion, took off the banter with a sarcastic tweet about Zuckerberg’s recent interest in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
The Tesla CEO reacted to the news of Zuckerberg’s new venture with a couple of ironic comments before a fan jokingly warned him not to mess with the Brazilian Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) practitioner.
But Musk replied – “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,”
Zuckerberg, Facebook and WhatsApp owner recently competed in a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament where he pulled a stunner, winning a number of silverware.
Meanwhile, Zuckerberg quickly replied to Musk’s offer with a famous quote allegedly used by UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov during his intense fight with rivalry Conor McGregor in April 2018.
The 39-year-old wrote on Instagram “Send me location.”
Though Musk is yet to react to his response as at the time of filling this report, popular YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul, has volunteered to get involved in the sparring.
Paul is on the verge of transiting fully to MMA after he reached a deal with Professional Fighters League (PFL).
He now wants to bring Musk vs Zuckerberg to the UFC’s rival in the aid of charity.
Paul said in a tweet, “Elon I will gladly promote your fight against Zuck, we can do it in the PFL on ESPN+ for charity.”
The 26-year-old holds high-profile wins over MMA fighters Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva but fell on his face in a first sparring with a real boxer, Tommy Fury.
