President Bola Tinubu is currently engaged in a meeting with Asari Dokubo, a prominent figure and former leader agitator in the oil-rich Niger Delta region.

News About Nigeria reports that the exact purpose of their meeting remains unknown, but it is speculated that Dokubo is participating in the President’s ongoing consultations with influential individuals from the Niger Delta.

Dokubo arrived at the State House, popularly known as the Aso Rock Villa, at approximately 11:00 am.

Following his arrival, he proceeded to engage in a private discussion with the President, behind closed doors.

It is worth noting that three weeks ago, Dokubo had mobilized young individuals from the Niger Delta to attend the proceedings of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja.

During that time, he made a statement, urging the Nigerian populace to hold him accountable if the current administration fails to deliver on its promises.

In regards to the discontinuation of fuel subsidies, Dokubo expressed his opinion on the matter, asserting that both former presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari failed to accomplish what Tinubu has achieved within the initial weeks of his administration.

He emphasized that if Ahmed Bola Tinubu were to falter, he would bear the responsibility.

Unapologetically, Dokubo spoke about his long-standing acquaintance with Tinubu since 1992, vouching for his character and his ability to bridge the gap between the leader and the people.

Furthermore, Dokubo highlighted the significance of Tinubu’s immediate actions upon assuming office, contrasting it with the missed opportunities of his predecessors, Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari.

He commended Tinubu for taking steps that the aforementioned leaders had failed to take during their own tenures, emphasizing the decisive approach adopted by Tinubu right from the outset of his administration.
