Inter Milan Director Piero Ausilio has returned to Italy after failed negotiation attempt with Chelsea over loan deals for Romelu Lukaku and Kalidou Koulibaly, News About Nigeria reports.

Ausilio had visited London on Wednesday to bait Chelsea into releasing the duo on loan for Inter, ahead of next campaign, but Chelsea has rejected the offer, as they will prefer permanent deals for the players.

Chelsea is looking to cut down their oversized squad and won’t enter into any agreement that will take their players on a temporary basis.

The West London side is willing to risk their interest in Andre Onana, Inter’s number one goalkeeper, to stand firm on their decision this time around.

However, negotiations have been bided to continue next week as per Fabrizio, as both players remain top of the list for the Italian giants and Champions League finalists.

Meanwhile, Lukaku who spent the 2022/23 season on loan at the club, has expressed interest in a permanent move, even when he started from the bench for the most part of the Italian Serie A season.

He announced he feels welcome at the club and like the fans who have been nothing but supportive of his commitment to the team.

It is alleged if a permanent signing will be initiated for the two players, it will be nothing close to the usual figures making screaming headlines, even when Chelsea had spent fortunes signing Koulibaly from Napoli a year ago.

It is also likely that the signing of Onana by Chelsea would be largely hinged on the success of the proposing side (Inter), getting Lukaku and Koulibaly.
