Manchester United are gradually giving up hope on their move to sign Harry Kane, News About Nigeria reports.
The Red Devils have been eyeing Kane since the conclusion of the 2022/23 Premier League season, but Tottenham Hotspur, his current club, has remained silent regarding the England international’s future.
Meanwhile, Kane still has one season before the end of his contract with the London club. Several clubs are said to have developed an interest to sign the 29-year-old player who has kept form since he came to the limelight.
Kane who captains the English national team is also a proven prolific goalscorer with strong link play. He is also widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world.
Though he hasn’t won any major title with Tottenham since he joined in 2011, he has made his mark on the team, standing out amidst his teammates.
Several analysts believe it is time for him to continue trading his career with other clubs where he can compete for titles before ending his far spent career.
Putting a major title to his name before retirement is arguably one the best things that will happen to his 12 years club side title drought.
Many commentators and football analysts are bidding him to join clubs outside the Premier League, with a lot recommending Bayern Munich or Real Madrid in Spain.
However, the transfer window opens officially on June 14, the last call is expected to come from the player who will decide if he wants to stay a bit longer in England with Tottenham or any other EPL team or take a leap of faith with other European clubs.
One thing is sure, Manchester United is already giving up hope, how much time does he have and how many teams will keep pushing on? Only time will tell.
