Davido Performs For Free At Abia Governor, Alex Otti’s Reception Dinner

Nigerian singer and music executive, Davido, recently revealed that he performed without charge at the reception dinner for Abia Governor, Alex Otti.

News About Nigeria confirms that the popular artist took to his official Twitter page on Monday night to share this information with his curious fans.

A Twitter user wrote;“Many don’t know but Davido is Dr. Alex Otti’s godson and he’s in Umuahia at the inauguration after-party where he’s giving a full performance. It’s a full-blown show in Umuahia 🔥🔥🔥”

When a follower asked if it was a free performance, Davido confirmed that he did not receive any payment.

He further mentioned that he has known Governor Otti for a long time, expressing his confidence in the governor’s ability to deliver good governance to the people of Abia state.

 

“Not a dime I’ve known Excellency all my life … and I’m sure he will do well for the people of Abia state,” Davido wrote.

The inauguration of Governor Alex Otti took place at the Umuahia Township Stadium on May 29.

During the inauguration dinner, Davido thrilled the guests with his hit songs.

He began his performance with “Aye” and continued with “Assurance,” a song originally dedicated to his wife, Chioma.

A fan @bonario89 who shared the video, wrote; “We also have Nigeria’s biggest artist @davido with us at the reception for @alexottiofr”

The gesture of Davido performing for free showcases his support for Governor Otti and his belief in the governor’s vision for Abia state.
