In a miraculous turn of events, a Nigerian man narrowly escaped death in a ghastly auto crash along the Lafia Expressway.

This happened just hours after being part of a mob that booed and chased the Factional Chairman of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa, News About Nigeria reports.

Lamidi Apapa was chased out of the premises of the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

The accident victim, who goes by the Twitter handle @realYangaB, expressed profound gratitude to God for sparing his life as he emerged unscathed from the wreckage.

He wrote; “I cheated death today. I left Abuja after making sure Apapa Lamidi collect wotowoto at the court. On my way to Lafia-Nasarawa State, I had an accident.

My car is just beyond repair. I thank God I came out alive.”

This is coming after the court, presided over by Chairman Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani, refused to acknowledge either the Julius Abure faction or the Lamidi Apapa faction, both claiming to be the legitimate representatives of the party.

Tensions escalated when Mrs Dudu Maluga, the LP Women Leader, introduced herself as the party’s representative in the petition, with the presence of presidential candidate Peter Obi. In response, Lamidi Apapa, accompanied by his group, promptly stood up and declared himself as the party’s acting national chairman.

Amid the ensuing confusion, Chairman Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani ruled against both factions, declaring that the court would not acknowledge or record their respective presence as representatives of the party. The ruling further intensified the leadership dispute within the Labour Party.
