MC Dayo, a Nigerian Master of Ceremony, has shared his success story after quitting his banking job to pursue a career in hosting events.

News About Nigeria understands that MC Dayo had worked with a bank for eight years without traveling, but since leaving his job in June last year, he has visited 15 different countries in one year.

The MC, who is now a successful event host, revealed that he made his one-year salary as a bank worker in December 2022 alone, through hosting gigs in different locations.

He shared his story on Twitter while contributing to a discussion on whether one can achieve success while working a 9-5 job or by quitting to pursue a business venture.

Business experts are known to advice people to follow their passion and take risks in life, according to many, it had always been the best decision they ever made.

In the case of MC Dayo, leaving his banking job opened up many opportunities for him and allowed him to travel the world and showcase his skills as an MC.

MC Dayo said; I worked with a bank for 8 years, never travelled abroad once, promoted reluctantly twice.

I resigned June last year, travelled to 15 different countries to Mc events last year. I made my one year salary in December alone. 9-5 is just a title not the way to success.”
