Bloody Party In Naples Amidst Title Victory

Following Napoli’s title victory on Thursday night, no fewer than 200 persons have been announced injured in attacks by yet to be identified persons, News About Nigeria gathered.

The attack confirmed the death of a 26-year-old man who was reported injured by shots fired during the night of celebration sparked by Napoli’s third Serie A title.

Though authorities are yet to confirm if the shots were fired as part of the football celebrations or an occasion of criminal attack by unscrupulous persons.

While Police investigation is ongoing, sources say that the victim who died after being taken to the hospital, was linked to a local mafia clan.

The attack which has hospitalized more than 200 people over the night, is said to have come from knife wounds, burns from firecrackers and asthma attacks caused by inhaling smoke from flares.

News About Nigeria had earlier reported Napoli’s 1-1 draw at Udinese on Thursday evening, a score line which secured the Italian side, their third league title, and first in 33 years (since 1990).

Napoli clinched the title amidst big teams like AC Milan, Juventus, and Inter among many others who have had their romance on the league title in recent times.

The title comes with a record-equalling five games to play in the league till the end of the season.

Thousands of fans in Udine, at the Stadio Maradona in Naples and all around southern Italy’s biggest city, exploded with joy at the brink of the match’s final whistle.

Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen has received accolades from fans for his immense contributions, as he single-handedly won the title for his team, scoring 22 goals.
