Belgium club Union Saint Gilloise has set a €15m price tag for Nigeria’s Victor Boniface, should any team come for him during the summer transfer window.

This was disclosed by the club’s honorary President, Jurgen Baatzsch, in a statement.

Boniface joined the modest Belgian Pro League outfit from Norwegian club, Bodo/Glimt for a giveaway price of just €2m last summer.

Since joining the Belgian side, the forward has netted 23 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions for Union Saint Gilloise this season.

He, however, has been linked with a number of top European clubs who have shown interest in the 21-year-old, with Union Saint Gilloise prepared to allow him to leave on their terms, News About Nigeria understands.

“We take players because they have good stats. For example Victor Boniface. He came last summer for a fee of two million euros.

“He is now worth 10 to 15 million euros. It’s great when you see our success,” Baatzsch told newsmen.

Boniface was instrumental to the club’s draw last Saturday against Gent.

He created a beautiful assist for teammate Amani Lazare as Royale played a 1-1 draw away at Gent on Saturday to maintain their top-of-the-table push and cement their place in the Belgian end-of-season championship play-offs.

It was his sixth assist for the side this season.

Union Saint Gilloise has had over 124 seasons in its existence.

In 2021/22 season, the club returned to the top flight of Belgian football since 1973 and has since remained in the league.
