France national and Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano has named Paris Saint-Germain striker, Kylian Mbappe as the world’s best footballer.
Upamecano said this despite the Bayern Munich player keeping Mbappe at bay during the German side’s 3-0 aggregate victory over PSG in the Champions League round 16 games.
Upamecano told newsmen that it is easier when any team has Mbappe in its forward because of his positioning and body language which he said is always perfect.
“It’s much easier to have him in your team. You have to always be well balanced, ready to move in any direction; to be vigilant, watching his positioning on the pitch and also his body language.
The young defender also said Mbappe, captain of the PSG team was an extraordinary footballer.
“He is the best player in the world – he is extraordinary”.
News About Nigeria gathered that Bayern Munich had a smooth ride over PSG in the round of sixteen of the UEFA Champions League competition despite the France side lining up the likes of Neymar Junior, Sergio Ramos, Lionel Messi, Mbappe, and others.
Mbappe so far has scored 31 goals in 35 games across competitions and is hopeful of the League 1 title.
Upamecano’s Bayern faces English giants, Manchester City today in the UCL Champions League quarter-final game, hoping to clinch the silverware.
News About Nigeria earlier reported that Thomas Tuchel, the manager of the German side said he is unable to sleep ahead of the game at Etihad Stadium tonight.
Tuchel who formerly managed Chelsea and won the champions league with the team is hoping to replicate the same record with Bayern.
