Andy Carroll, a former West Ham Striker, has advised Declan Rice to join Arsenal and shun other top Premier League clubs queuing to sign him.

Rice has recently been linked with a move outside the London Stadium with the likes of Manchester Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal interested in signing him.

News About Nigeria gathered that Carroll, a former Liverpool and Stoke City star, wants the England international to join Arsenal, the Premier League leader.

“He is a great guy and a great player. We all know he needs to go to a top club. I can’t see him going outside of England, but he should go to a top-three or top-two club.

“I’d like to see Declan at Arsenal, to be honest – I’m not an Arsenal fan, but I like the way they’re playing at the moment,” Carroll added

Rice signed his first professional contract with West Ham United on December 16, 2015, just over a year after joining West Ham United at the youth level.

He made his senior debut against Burnley on the last day of the 2016–17 Premier League season, coming on as a 91st-minute substitute for Edimilson Fernandes in a 2–1 away win for West Ham.

On February 13, 2019, Rice was reported to have pledged his future to England. His switch of allegiance from Ireland to England was confirmed by FIFA on March 5, the same year.

He was called up by England for their UEFA Euro 2020 qualification matches against the Czech Republic and Montenegro.

The 24-year-old made his debut on 22 March as a 63rd-minute substitute against the Czech Republic at Wembley Stadium and has since been on top of his game at both country and club sides.
