Youth Group Warns Fani-Kayode Over Incisive Comments

A youth group, The Nigerian Democratic Youth Front (NDYF) has sounded a note of warning to former minister of Aviation and chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Femi Fani-Kayode over his “insensitive and inciting comments”.

The group gave the warning at a press conference on Thursday in Abuja, saying Fani-Kayode’s statements could spark widespread civil disobedience and arrest while calling on the Nigeria Police Force and Department of State Security to act fast and arrest him.

NDYF president, Dr. Gideon Obong, and Secretary General, Usman Ahmed Yahaya, who addressed the press accused Mr Fani-Kayode of setting Nigeria up for another civil war.

They said, “FFK threw away dignity and morality to spew venomous comments against Obi to please his paymasters ostensibly for speaking for the interest of Muslims and other non-Christians. Ironically, Fan-Kayode, who is the one setting Nigeria up for another civil war with his inciting comments has no moral basis to allege that Obi would have plunged Nigeria into a religious war within a few months if he had emerged President.

”His hatred for Obi and inordinate desperation to please his paymasters did not allow him to be in tune with the reality – Peter Obi’s media aide, Valentine Obienyem, has since discredited the purported leak audio saying his principal’s conversation with Oyedepo was ‘badly doctored’.

But a man driven by avarice and prejudice like Femi Fani-Kayode would even feign ignorance to get his already dirty self dirtier for scrubs.

They accused the Federal government of tolerating Fani-Kayode’s excesses and called on the Nigeria Police and DSS to arrest Fani-Kayode within 48 hours

“The Federal Government is endangering the unity of the country by tolerating his insensitive razzmatazz. His incessant incisive comments are setting the ground for Nigeria’s disintegration. He needs to be quarantined out of sight for an urgent mental evaluation.

However, they enjoined Christians and Muslims in the country to continue to live in peace and harmony.
