Dean Saunders has cautioned Harry Kane against joining Manchester United, citing the absence of a guaranteed trophy.

According to News About Nigeria, the former Liverpool player advised the striker to consider a move to Bayern Munich, where he would have better chances of success with the German giants.

Kane, who has spent over 11 years at Tottenham Hotspur without securing a major title, finds himself at a crossroads in his career. Several clubs, including Bayern Munich and Manchester United, have expressed interest in acquiring him, although United’s pursuit seems to have waned due to Tottenham’s reluctance.

Despite having one more year left on his contract and the possibility of leaving on a free transfer next summer, Tottenham is determined to retain the player.

Kane is expected to discuss his future with the club’s new head coach, Ange Postecoglu, during pre-pre-season training, as previously reported by News About Nigeria.

In light of the offers on the table for Kane, Saunders, 59, advised against considering Manchester United if he decides to leave Tottenham. The former player emphasized that a move to Old Trafford might not fulfill his desire for silverware.

“Would you sign for Man United before Bayern Munich? I’m not so sure; it’s a dilemma because he’s not guaranteed to win anything at United—not guaranteed,” Saunders commented on the potential destinations for the striker.

He also acknowledged that signing Harry Kane would significantly bolster Manchester United’s attacking prowess, potentially giving them a stronger chance of challenging for top positions with his goal-scoring ability.
