It is worth noting that Senate President Godswill Akpabio has recently revealed the principal officers for the 10th Senate, News About Nigeria reports.
Leading the Senate is Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, representing Ekiti State, who assumes the role of Senate Leader. Senator Dave Umahi, a representative from Ebonyi State, has been chosen as the Deputy Senate Leader.
Senator Ali Ndume, from Borno State, has been appointed as the Chief Whip, and Senator Lola Ashiru, representing Kwara State, has taken on the responsibility of Deputy Chief Whip.
Additionally, Senate President Akpabio announced the names of the minority principal officers. Senator Simon Davou, representing Plateau North and a member of the PDP, has been designated as the Minority Leader.
Oyewunmi Olarere, a member of the PDP representing Osun West, has been appointed as the Deputy Minority Leader. Darlington Nwokeocha, representing Abia Central and a member of the Labour Party, has taken on the role of Minority Whip. Finally, Rufai Hanga, a representative of Kano Central and a member of the NNPP, has been appointed as the Deputy Minority Whip.
