Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has expressed her unwavering support for social media activist, VeryDarkMan amid his saga with prominent lawyer, Femi Falana and his son, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, News About Nigeria reports.
Recall that VeryDarkMan failed to apologise and also retract his allegation that the Falanas have a hand in Bobrisky evading his jail term.
Following this, the aggrieved family dragged him to court for defamation, among other allegations.
Reacting to this in a post on her Instagram account on Saturday, the veteran actress supported VeryDarkMan, calling him a well-meaning activist.
She also praised his work as she prayed for him to grow from strength to strength.
Calling him her ‘great son’, she assured him that God has his back and acknowledges him, even when the world does not.
She wrote, “I only talk about truthful people, know this and know peace. I have said it before, but I am still going to say it a thousand and one times: a very dark black man is a well-meaning activist; argue with your keypads, much as he always says he is not an activist, though. I love your work, nna; the craft will grow from strength to strength. Always remember that the truth is too painful to absorb, so the absorbers do that with lots of hatred in their bitter hearts. But they don’t count. what counts is justice, equity, and a fight for a balanced nation. Every evil doer will learn in a hard way. Don’t play.
“He states the fact line after line, he digs so deep before setting up the camera, how many persons, has he helped retrieve their funds from a business gone bad? His deeds are glaring, only bitter minds and haters will shut their eyes, trying to cover up the truth. My great black son, god has your back, and he acknowledges you 100%. Even the world supports and applauds your efforts; haters and naysayers would come up, but we are getting stronger and tougher than a million of them can ever be. Keep doing the good work, do not relent, say no to pressure, say no to societal critics; these are normal for great men and women like you and me. You will always have my genuine backing support, great son; hence you’re doing what is right.”
