Sheikh Ibrahim Bauchi has suggested that the current challenges facing Nigeria, are trials sent by God.
During a press conference held in Bauchi on Thursday, Sheikh Bauchi emphasized the importance of recognizing the hand of God in the nation’s tribulations.
News About Nigeria reports that Sheikh Bauchi, the eldest son of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, also used the occasion to unveil plans for the upcoming Maulud celebration which will be held on Sept. 26.
In his address, he called upon Nigerians not to solely blame political leaders for the country’s problems but to understand that hardship and challenges are part of God’s divine plan.
He stated, “We all have responsibilities to check our deeds; hardship or any situation we encounter emanates from Almighty Allah. What Nigerians should do at this time is to return to Allah, and I believe that things would change for the better.”
Furthermore, the famous Islamic scholar emphasized the need for patience and prayers, considering them as essential tools to prevail over the current situation of the country.
He encouraged citizens to contribute positively within the bounds of the law, stating, “What is expected of us is patience and prayers; we must stand up to make things better in our own ways through legitimate means.”
Sheikh Bauchi is among many other religious preachers who have called for prayers for the nation while believing things would get better.
Meanwhile, others believe that while there is a need for prayers, the country’s challenges are a result of poor governance across all levels.
