Cinemax, Nigeria’s premier film distribution company has officially announced the commencement of principal photography for its inaugural independent production – ‘The Party,’ News About Nigeria reports.
Cinemax brags that the murder mystery promises to deliver an exciting cinematic experience filled with drama, scandals, and suspense.
Penned by Stephen Okonkwo and directed by Yemi ‘Filmboy’ Morafa, ‘The Party’ boasts Judith Audu as its producer and Jonathan Kovel as the cinematographer.
This marks the second major announcement within a week, following the revelation of the Christmas blockbuster family film ‘Ada, Omo Daddy,’ starring Mercy Aigbe, slated for release in cinemas on December 15, 2023.
Ope Ajayi, the President/CEO of Cinemax Entertainment, expressed Cinemax’s unwavering commitment to narrating captivating African stories to both local and global audiences.

‘The Party’ features a stellar cast, including Kehinde Bankole, Bimbo Manuel, Mide Martins, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Shaffy Bello, Kunle Remi, Femi Branch and Ayoola Ayolola.
Other notable actors who starred in the movie are Ben Touitoui, Ray Adeka, Uzor Arukwe, Tope Olowoniyan, Eva Ibiam, Segun Arinze, Kelechi Udegbe, James Gardiner, and Amaka Uzokwe.
