YouTube sensation turned boxer Jake Paul and former kickboxing world champion Andrew Tate have challenged each other to a sparing amidst controversy, News About Nigeria understands.

The duo recently engaged in a live stream where they discussed the possibility of a sparring session. The catch?

Tate is currently under house arrest in his Bucharest home, facing serious allegations of human trafficking, rape, and forming a criminal gang to exploit women.

Despite the controversial circumstances, Paul appeared open to the idea of traveling to Romania for the session, with the prospect of sharing the footage on social media.

During the live stream, Tate proposed the idea of sparring in Romania, stating, “While you’re in your next training camp and you want some sparring, fly to Romania.

“We’ll spar, we’ll film it, and we’ll decide if we want to release it or not afterward. But, I have no problem… We can have a sparring match anytime.”

Paul expressed interest in the proposition but raised concerns about releasing the footage for free on social media, acknowledging its potential value.

Despite their willingness to spar, both fighters recognized that organizing such an event would involve promotional efforts and financial considerations.

Tate humorously alluded to his current house arrest situation, jokingly telling Paul, “I can’t leave the house… you should know where I am because I’m not going anywhere.”

While a fight between the two seems unlikely due to Tate’s history of injuries, their sparring session could still attract significant attention from their respective fan bases.

With both individuals known for their trash-talking and controversial personas, the potential match-up could be an entertaining spectacle for followers of combat sports.
