Dele Momodu Slams Wike, Fayose, Others For Fueling Crisis In PDP

Veteran Journalist and Publisher of Ovation magazine, Dele Momodu, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of partnering with others to deepen the ongoing leadership crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Momodu, who contested the PDP’s presidential ticket in the 2023 presidential election, also accused a former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, of being part of the people destroying the PDP.

Speaking in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Momodu reacted to the remarks of former Ekiti State Governor, Fayose during his previous appearance as a guest on the same programme.

News About Nigeria  reports that Fayose, who is Wike’s ally, had described the crisis rocking the party as “embarrassing”.

Reacting to this, Momodu noted that it is no news that they are the ones behind the crisis that they have now termed as ’embarrassing.’

He said, “If they say it is embarrassing, they know what to do, I have never seen a situation where an opposition party will voluntarily, openly, shamelessly work for the ruling party, we are supposed to be an opposition. Everybody knows; even members of APC, they know that these guys are playing games. They are hoping that somewhere along the line, President Tinubu may not run in 2027, and then they will hold the PDP down so that they can use the PDP because they know the APC will never give them their platform.

“Nobody is going to allow you after destroying your own home to come and destroy their own. Everybody knows. Truth is constant, they have never hidden their mission in the ongoing struggle in the PDP. They have boasted that they have worked for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in 2023 and also said in advance that they’ll work for him in 2027.”
