On Tuesday, youths in Adamawa State expressed their support for the President Bola Tinubu-led government.
News About Nigeria reports that the youths, unlike their counterparts in other states, shunned the ongoing #October 1 protest against hunger and bad governance in the country.
The youths who came out in their mass on Tuesday turned the #October 1 protest into a celebration of President Tinubu’s achievements.
The young people who gathered at the Unity Flyover near the police headquarters in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, were seen rolling out drums in praise of the president’s leadership.
The youths who are under the aegis of Concerned Youths of Adamawa flooded the major streets of Yola in a solidarity walk, marking Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary with open support for Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking to journalists during the walk, the Convener of the group, Yakubu Girei, disclosed that their resolve to celebrate the President is because of the “laudable policies and programmes” introduced by his administration which is already yielding fruits.
He also noted that they believe in the ability of the President to pilot the affairs of the country correctly, adding that he is moving the country in the right direction.
“We believe in the direction the president is taking the country, and today’s walk is our own contribution to ensuring the continuation of his good work,” Girei stated.
Girei also called on other young people and all Nigerians at large to instead of protesting against Tinubu’s government partner with him and his team towards building a better Nigeria for all.
