Portable Urges Bobrisky To ‘Repent’ Amid Ongoing Controversy

Controversial singer Portable has publicly called on Bobrisky, the popular crossdresser, to “repent from sinful ways” and reconsider his lifestyle choices amidst ongoing legal troubles.

The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker offered this advice following a series of challenges Bobrisky, born Idris Okuneye, is recently facing.

News About Nigeria reported that Bobrisky was released from prison on August 5 after serving a six-month sentence that was cut short, which began on April 12, for allegedly abusing the naira.

The crossdresser’s legal ordeal resurfaced on Tuesday after social media personality Martin ‘VeryDarkMan’ Otse shared an audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly admitted to bribing Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials with N15 million to drop charges against her.

Bobrisky quickly denied the allegations, branding the recording as “fake” and claiming that she never paid any bribe to the anti-graft agency.

In response, the EFCC summoned both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan for further investigation, with EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede ordering an immediate probe into the claims.

Rapper Falz also appeared to corroborate part of the allegations, stating in a warning letter that Bobrisky had contacted him to seek financial assistance of N3 million for VIP prison accommodations, which he declined.

Amidst these accusations, Bobrisky revealed on Thursday that he was battling suicidal thoughts but clarified he was not seeking sympathy, only understanding and support.

Portable, reacting to the developments, took to Instagram to advise Bobrisky against considering suicide. Instead, he urged the crossdresser to repent and seek forgiveness from God.

“Bobrisky, life is risky. God does not want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. Damn it to any sinner that does not repent. If you die, you are going to hell. Beg God to forgive you. God does not want a sinner to die,” Portable said.

The singer stressed that repentance is key to personal growth and peace, encouraging Bobrisky to embrace redemption and seek forgiveness for his well-being.
