The state working committee (SWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba, says it has established a reconciliation committee for the party in the state.
News About Nigeria reports that this is contained in a statement issued and signed by the party spokesperson, Andeta’rang Iremea.
It was gathered that the committee was created and geared towards resolving internal party grievances.
According to the party, the move is part of the efforts to strengthen party unity and address issues that have caused division among members.
“The committee is expected to mediate and find solutions to conflicts within the party, ensuring that all concerns are addressed in preparation for future political activities, ” the statement read.
“The committee, which is headed by Senator Zik Ambuno Sunday, has Alhaji Abdulrazaq Musa , Magaji Joseph Tahwa, Abbas Kaura, Simon Dogari, and Tina Musa, as members.
“Others are, Aminu Jika, Oliver Suleiman,Kabiru Jalo, John Mamman, Jonah J. Kataps, Azumi Adamu, Alhaji Mohammed Abana , Julius Taro Bitako, Mohammed Idi, and Lawal Abdulkarim , as secretary.”
In August, the PDP National Working Committee (NWC), constituted a 25-member National Reconciliation Committee to be headed by former Osun State Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
The NWC charged all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the PDP to remain focused and committed to the vision, principles and aspiration of our great Party in the overall interest of the growth, development and stability of the PDP and the nation.
Recall that the PDP had been embroiled in crisis since it’s Presidential Primary held on May 28, 2022.
