Katsina State has been thrown into mourning following the death of Aminu Lawal Custom, the Special Adviser on Youth to the State Governor.
New About Nigeria reports that Aminu died on Thursday in his hometown in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Before his demise, the deceased was a chairmanship candidate for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Malumfashi Local Government Area of the state.
Aminu’s demise was made public by the Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Radda, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohamed, on Thursday.
In the statement, the governor described the late aide as a gentleman who had dedicated his life to serving his people.
He further noted that Aminu’s death was not only a loss to his immediate family but to the entire people of Malumfashi and Katsina State at large.
While extending his heartfelt condolences to the family, the governor prayed for the repose of the souls of the dead.
He also prayed that Allah would grant his family and the entire people of the state the fortitude to bear the ‘irreplaceable’ loss.
The statement reads, “Alhaji Aminu Lawal Custom was a devoted public servant and a passionate advocate for youth development in our state. His contributions to our administration and his commitment to the progress of Malumfashi Local Government will be sorely missed.
“The Governor extends his heartfelt condolences to the family of Aminu Custom and the people of Malumfashi Local Government. He prayed for Allah to grant the deceased Jannatul Firdausi and give the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
The deceased has been laid to rest according to Islamic rites in his hometown of Malumfashi.
