Tinubu Did Not Increase Fuel Price - Omokri

Special Adviser to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has called out Peter Obi for demanding transparency from the Federal Government, News About Nigeria reports.

Reno, in a statement via his verified handle on X on Tuesday, claimed Obi has no right to demand for transparency and talk about economic hardship when the South East still observes the sit-at-home order.

According to him, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections is always quick to speak on issues concerning other zones and attack the Federal Government but has remained silent on the issues plaguing the East.

He noted that the silence of Obi on issues in the South East points to an approval of those issues.

He wrote, “You preach ‘transparency’ and talk about economic hardship. But what greater economic hardship can there be than the thirty day sit-at-home declared on the Southeast by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra movement, which just two days ago also released a statement defending you?

“You speak about transparency. You are from the Southeast. When are you going to be transparent and talk about this economic sabotage? Will you not condemn it? Your silence is deafening. Is it that you approve of the sit-at-home?

“You are quick, indeed very quick to speak on issues concerning other zones. You are also hasty to attack the Federal Government over what you term economic hardship. Is this 30 day sit-at-home also the fault of the government? Or will it cause economic prosperity for the Southeast and Nigeria? So, why are you silent about it?”
