Daddy Freeze Reacts To Rema’s N105 Million Donation To Christ Embassy

Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has shared his thoughts on singer Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, donating a substantial sum to Christ Embassy in Edo State.

Following his recent homecoming, News About Nigeria reported that Rema donated N105 million to the church during a Thanksgiving service held on Sunday at the church’s campground on Sapele Road.

In a video shared on social media, Rema expressed his gratitude to the church for supporting his family after his father’s death.

He revealed that the church opened a shop for his mother, which became a crucial source of support for the family during a challenging time.

Rema’s donation was allocated as follows: N40 million for the church’s infrastructure, N20 million for the Rhapsodies of Realities initiative, N25 million for the teen church, and N20 million for any widow in the congregation.

Speaking in the video, Rema said, “The church embraced me. I pledge N40 million to the infrastructure of the church, N20 million to Rhapsodies of Realities, N25 million to the teen church.

“I was eight years old when I lost my dad. We felt very lost and abandoned. All that we had was taken from us, and we felt very alone. I remember at the time, the church opened a shop for my mum, and that was what she managed to take care of us, feed us.

“Just to add to that, if there is any widow in church today, I am pledging N20 million to any widow in church today.”

Reacting to this gesture, Daddy Freeze, known for his critical views on pastors and religious practices, argued that Rema should have given even more to the church.

He praised Rema for acknowledging the church’s role in his family’s life and added that the donation was a form of giving back to those who had supported him during a difficult time.

In a post on social media, Daddy Freeze wrote, “Why did he give to that particular church? Because when he lost his dad, the church opened a shop for his mum. That was part of what helped his folks put food on the table during a difficult period. So unlike you going to sow your seed in church, Rema is taking part of his ‘Harvest’ to those who sowed their seed in him. As far as I’m concerned, he should even give them more. God bless the pastor that sowed into his family.”
