Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has claimed that President Bola Tinubu has a poverty mentality, News About Nigeria reports.
She said this in a statement via her verified handle on X on Tuesday.
Aisha, who was the frontrunner among Nigerians during the #EndSars Protest in October 2020, also criticised the president for purchasing a new presidential jet amid the hardships faced by Nigerians.
According to her, no amount of billions of dollars in his account can take away the mentality of poverty inherent in the president, adding that it is ingrained in him right from whatever existence he came from before he was known.
She wrote, “Tinubu has poverty mentality that no amount of billions of dollars in his account can take away. It is ingrained in him right from whatever existence he came from before he was known.
“It is why using scarce resources to buy the next shining thing that will make him feel better than his fellow humans is more important than than the poor who are dying.”
Nigerians have also taken to the X platform to share their opinions on the president.
