Presidency Clears The Air On Proposed Tax Reform Bill

President Bola Tinubu has named Mr. Daser David as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI).

The announcement was made on Tuesday in a statement signed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity.

The statement highlighted Mr. David’s extensive background as both an academic and industry expert, 

In addition to Mr. David’s appointment, the President also approved the appointments of Mr. Reuben Oshomah and Mr. Adama Kure to executive roles at Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT).

Mr. Oshomah will serve as Executive Director of Marketing, while Mr. Kure has been appointed Executive Director of Finance and Administration, for his strong background in financial management and corporate governance.

“Mr. Oshomah has extensive experience in communications satellite marketing and strategic business development, while Mr. Kure is a seasoned finance professional with a strong record in financial management and corporate governance.”

“The President expects the newly appointed officers to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to bear in driving the strategic vision for these institutions,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, News About Nigeria reported that President Tinubu approved the appointment of four permanent secretaries for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), in anticipation of the retirement of two current secretaries and the creation of a new Youth Development Secretariat.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries are Okeke Joy Chinwe (South East), Ajayi Rotimi Babatunde (South West), and Nathan Nancy Sabanti (North East).

Additionally, the position of the Solicitor-General of the FCT Administration has been formalised as Solicitor-General/Permanent Secretary for the Legal Services Secretariat.

The swearing-in ceremony for the new permanent secretaries and the Mandate Secretary for the Youth Development Secretariat took place on August 15.
