Popular X influencer Daniel Regha has slammed Nigerians for massively watching the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) show that commenced on Sunday, amidst the plans of protest, News About Nigeria reports.
He made this known in a statement via his verified handle on X on Sunday.
Recall that Big Brother Naija season 9, tagged ‘No Loose Guard’, commenced on Sunday, July 28, 2024, with 28 new housemates, who came in pairs.
Nigerians, who have anticipated the new season since the grand finale of the All Stars Season, flocked to the show’s pages on social media to catch up on the latest in the House.
Daniel, however, criticised this move by Nigerians, stating that Nigerians are supposed to be focused on the planned protest and not spend their time and energy on a show that will not benefit them in any way or alleviate the teeming hardship in the country.
According to him, the fact that BBNaija is dominating the trend table is a sign of unseriousness.
“The people that want to protest in less than 4 days have started talking about BBN; It’s even dominating the trend table. Our unseriousness as a nation needs to be studied”, he stated.
Netizens have, however, agreed with the X influencer, as many have joined hands to fire Nigerians who have occupied themselves with the show.
