The news of Davido gifting music executive and talent manager, who also doubles as his friend, Ubi Franklin, a car worth N68 million, has sparked various reactions among netizens.
Many are berating him for being good to only outsiders, noting that he couldn’t even give his daughter, Imade, and his baby mama, Sophia Momodu, a car for her school runs until his father did so.
News About Nigeria earlier reported that Ubi Franklin shared the news of the car gift on his Instagram page hours ago, appreciating Davido’s kind gesture.
In the post he shared on his Instagram story, he noted that the singer knows how to do what’s right for his people, expressed gratitude to him and affirmed his love for him.
He wrote, “Davido just gifted me a car. Bro, thank you for everything. I love you. David just knows how to do what’s right for his people. I truly appreciate you. Make I sleep and will continue in the morning.”
While many are congratulating him and also appreciating Davido for the kind gesture, others are querying why he is spending on his friends but has refused to do right by Imade Adeleke, his daughter.

Recall that a few days before his traditional wedding, Davido filed a suit, seeking joint custody of his daughter, claiming Sophia was denying him access to her and extorting money from him.
In response, Sophia denied his claim, revealing that the Range Rover Davido gifted Imade years ago was secondhand, and he has refused to pay half of their accommodation and Imade’s school fee.
Among many other things, she cited the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, as one of the reasonswhy the singer was unfit to raise their daughter on his own.
